The league establishes official rules, weight classes, and rankings, revolutionizing football’s most iconic one-on-one drill into a hybrid combat sport. OKDC showcases professional athletes from around the globe competing for the coveted title of OKDC World Champion.
A game-changing initiative by former NFL players in 2022 led to the establishment of the Oklahoma Drill Championship. OKDC prioritizes the use of cutting-edge equipment and methodical training, setting new standards for player health and safety. OKDC events rise to the pinnacle of sports entertainment, delivering fans the most unrivaled, action-packed matchups of all time.
The Oklahoma Drill embodies the rich history and tradition of American football, combining strategy, skill, and old-school toughness. Dating back to the 1940s, the Oklahoma Drill pays homage to the University of Oklahoma where it was first introduced under the legendary coach Bud Wilkinson. As Wilkinson led the Oklahoma Sooners to greatness with an unprecedented 47- game win streak, his one-on-one drill exploded in popularity.
For decades, the Oklahoma Drill was an annual rite of passage for players, from pee wee to high school, college, and the pros. Vince Lombardi, widely hailed as the greatest head coach in football history, considered the drill an essential measure of manhood. Likewise, Bill Belichick, the coach with the most Super Bowl wins in NFL history, emphasized that the power of the Oklahoma Drill is its ability to answer, "Who is a man? Who's tough? Who's going to hit somebody?"
The Oklahoma Drill has developed many variations where players must use their strength, agility, and technique to overcome their opponent, requiring them to push their limits physically and mentally. Athletes, coaches, and fans have shown an unwavering commitment to keeping the Oklahoma Drill alive despite criticism from some organizations. From viral social media hype to pros advocating for its return, football’s most iconic drill has been ready for a comeback.
